In the unmade series, he was portrayed as a large, mutated T. Rex who is the king of his island. He is very peaceful, powerful and gentle who does not like to battle others unless it must be done.

Series version:
- Flame breath- Terry can emit a strong stream of fire from his mouth. this can cause large fires and kill a dinosaur with a single hit. after a fire has been set, Terry can control it.
- Supercharged flame: when Terry was temporarily n his super mode he was able to shoot a beam of magma-like fire. it is 10 times stronger than his normal flames and it can kill even the strongest being with one hit.
- Physical Strength: throughout the series Terry showed a tremendous level of brute strength, being able to take on the strongest opponents just with a simple headbutt or a tail-slap. along with this strength, Terry also has very powerful jaws that can crush the toughest bones into dust.
- "Pretnding ": in the series, Terry has the strange ability to break the force of gravity and pretend he's exhausted, tricking his enemies to attack him. when this ability is activated, even the weakest creatures will be able to throw Terry like a rag doll. after the opponents are exhausted from repeatedly attacking him, Terry stops using this ability and moves onto attacking the enemy.

- Terry is based on the anime character Terry from Dinosaur King. as the two seem to share many common traits as well as powers.
- Terry's character also mirrors many of Godzilla's traits, and early scripts of the film called Terry to have similar powers to Godzilla but they were scrapped.
